Justin Weeks, Pace Academy's four-star defensive lineman, has narrowed his college decision down to 10 teams as he makes headway on his recruitment.
The top-20 player in the state of Georgia’s Class of 2027 recruiting class has focused his recruitment on some of the top programs in the country including Georgia. Ohio State, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Texas, Notre Dame, and USC.
“I chose all 10 of those schools because I want to be able to compete at highest level and I have visited most of those schools and I really do enjoy watching them and I love the programs and their coaching staffs,” said Weeks.
According to 247Sports.com, Weeks is not only a top-20 player in the state of Georgia but a top-20 defensive lineman in the country standing at a monstrous 6-foot-5, 235-pounds.
Before zeroing in on these prominent schools, Weeks had an extensive offer list of 23 prominent college football programs.
Weeks shows elite size and speed as he comes off the edge for the Knights and is a huge part of their defensive scheme in head coach Sean Weatherspoon’s first season as the head coach of the program.
Weeks has been making his visits around some of the top programs that he has closed his list down to including traveling to Knoxville for a Tennessee visit for the teams matchup against Georgia back in September.
Later in the month, Weeks also went to Athens for the highly anticipated showdown between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide, seeing Alabama come out with a close victory on the road.
The Knights are in a tough region in Region 4-4A as with teams such as M.L. King and one of the top teams in the classification in the Creekside Seminoles.
The Knights are on a two-game losing streak after losing to Creekside and Midtown the last two weeks before their bye week this week.
After the week off this week, Weeks and the Knights have a home game against Forest Park before taking on Maynard Jackson on the road in two important regional matchups.
