Art Director Position

JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Art Director/Graphic Designer
Office: Score Atlanta
Reports to: Score Atlanta President
Position Responsibilities

Responsible for the creation, production of graphic design and creative services projects in the sport marketing company. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Graphic Design

Designing, developing and/or revising company wide marketing materials, such as programs, proposals, brochures, newsletters, advertisements, handouts, client presentations, logos, posters, invitations, flash animations, web images, etc., for internal and external audiences and in consultation with the office administrators and/or administrative directors;

Altering or repairing graphic elements as necessary and/or place or convert graphic elements into correct formats/programs;

Creating and/or manipulating graphic elements (photos, logos, themes, etc.) for use in client-facing and internal marketing communications efforts.

Creative Services

Managing production of various project “deliverables,” from design phase through delivery, including brochures, invitations, advertisements, PowerPoint, flyers, etc.;

Other duties

Handling various special requests related to graphic design services on an as assigned/as needed basis.

 

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree, with graphic design major, or equivalent, required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience, or equivalent, in a professional services environment, with graphic design as a primary responsibility.

Basic skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to design and communicate clearly for a variety of media. Capacity to learn them quickly. Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Ability to exercise good business judgment and diplomacy in complex situations.

Special skills: Must be self-motivated and independent and able to work well with senior management and staff clients.

Knowledge of following computer programs/software required, without exception: Adobe Creative Suite CS: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Knowledge of following computer programs/software a plus: Adobe Dreamweaver CS, Adobe Flash CS, Adobe Fireworks CS, Final Cut Pro XHTML/CSS. Any website building/maintenance experience is a PLUS

Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities as the Department’s needs change
