Buford’s girls team, ranked No. 1 in Class 6A, moved to 16-0 and 7-0 in 8-6A after beating Habersham Central 49-36 Tuesday.
The Wolves took a 13-4 lead after the first quarter before weathering a 17-13 second quarter in favor of the Raiders Buford regained control outscoring Habersham 23-15 in the second half to secure the win.
Greater Atlanta Christian moved to 6-4 on the season and 5-0 in 5-3A after a 56-44 victory over Sandy Creek. Junior Jaci Bolden led with 23 points and junior Kaleigh Addie scored 18 points.
