One of the hottest teams in boys Class AAAAAA is Chattahoochee. After dropping back-to-back games against Decatur and Centennial back in March, the Cougars have won eight straight after last night’s 13-2 win over South Forsyth. The Cougars took apart North Forsyth Monday 13-2 on the road and previously defeated West Forsyth 11-5 on Saturday. The Cougars received four goals from sophomore Daniel Wilson while Jack Cioffi had three goals to go with three assists. … Milton buried Pope 13-2 Thursday in front of a packed home crowd. … Andrew Ashmore netted four goals and Tim Winans chipped in three as Walton buried Cherokee 17-1 Wednesday night. Ten different Raiders scored in the victory. … Sprayberry received five goals from Gaby Lohner and Ashley Russo found the net four times to push the Yellow Jackets to a 14-9 win over Woodward Academy. Woodward would fall Thursday 18-2 to Blessed Trinity. … Wednesday saw Lassiter respond in a big way to a halftime hole, as the Trojans outscored Kell 14-2 to prevail 20-9. … The Northview girls dominated North Springs 21-1 Thursday while M.L. King downed Tri-Cities 12-5. Darlington picked up a tidy 10-3 victory over GAC last night. … Outrageous scores were the norm Wednesday in Gwinnett County as three girls programs demolished the competition. Collins Hill blasted Parkview 20-3 as Abby Squires scored seven goals in the Eagles’ victory. North Gwinnett received four goals from Lyndsey Cobb to get past Norcross 16-1. Emily Nance chipped in with three goals. Mill Creek went on the road and took out Rockdale County 26-2. Three different Hawks scored three goals for Mill Creek. It was the second win in as many nights for Mill Creek after the Hawks handed Chattahoochee an 11-10 decision, the first loss of the year for the Cougars. Maddie Beck had three goals as Mill Creek rallied from an 8-5 halftime deficit. … Chattahoochee bounced back Thursday with a 16-7 win over Johns Creek. … In other Tuesday night action, the Cambridge girls defeated Wesleyan 18-12 while Brookwood pounded the North Atlanta girls 18-1.
