Centennial adds a recruiting coordinator

New Centennial football coach Jeffrey Carlberg is quickly putting his fingerprints all over the Knights program, and he has invited Score along for the ride during his first year at the helm. Here are highlights from last week.

After a very successful spring practice, we are now working on our conditioning each morning with some 7-on-7 tournaments quickly approaching. I have also been busy solidifying the coaching staff, including one interesting hire that should help our program and give us an advantage that many programs aren’t able to have.

We recently added Mike Engle to our staff. Coach Engel has been coaching on the high school level for over 35 years. He has coached offensive line, defensive line and linebackers and has served as an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator. His coaching resume includes stops in Iowa, Kansas, and Georgia. Coach Engel will hold several titles including Coaching Staff Administrative Assistant, Huddle Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Video and Scouting Coordinator. Perhaps the most interesting thing about Coach Engel is that he lives in Kansas.

We are proud to have him on our staff and know he will do much to help the Knights brand grow.
