COACH’S JOURNAL: Knights preparing for spring practice

New Centennial football coach Jeffrey Carlberg is quickly putting his fingerprints all over the Knights program, and he has invited Score along for the ride during his first year at the helm. Here are highlights from this week.

Welcome back from Spring Break! We have resumed our daily morning strength workouts as well as our afternoon speed and conditioning routine. The break was nice but it is time to get back to work.

Only six more weeks remain in the school year and several events will take place in a very short time frame. Monday we had a staff meeting to go over duties for our equipment distribution day this Saturday. We also began installation plans for spring practice, which begins April 26.

Yesterday I met with our Junior Knights Program to go over plans for its equipment distribution in preparation for the Junior Knights’ spring practice.

Tonight I have a 6:00 pm meeting with the football board to discuss budget, registration and equipment distribution. At 7:00 we have a budget meeting with our umbrella club.

This Saturday we will have our players and their parents in to take care of last minute registration and to pick up their equipment for spring ball.
