COACH’S JOURNAL: New coordinator installing offense

New Centennial football coach Jeffrey Carlberg is quickly putting his fingerprints all over the Knights program, and he has invited Score along for the ride during his first year at the helm. Here are highlights from last week.

Spring practice begins next Thursday (April 26), and we have been busy installing plans over the past few weeks. New offensive coordinator Carl Cole has been installing plans for a new spread offense. This will be his first year with Centennial, but he has been coaching for 20 years. Coach Cole has coached at every classification in Georgia and has been a head coach at the A and AAAA level. He brings a pedigree of winning to the Knights program, and he sports a state championship ring that he won as a coordinator with Peachtree Ridge in 2006. He began his coaching career in Mississippi, where he was named “Coach of the Year” in 2002.

Today, some members of the team will receive a free high school sports physical at North Fulton Hospital. The hospital is offering the free physicals to schools across Fulton County. For more information, check out our new website www.centennialknightsfootball.com
