Falcons reach out to prep coaches

For years, the Atlanta Falcons have offered unique opportunities to GHSA football coaches and once again, the Falcons are reaching out into the community to give back to the men whose jobs it is to help prepare young men for college and the real world. The Atlanta Falcons organization and Russell Athletic are inviting high school head football coaches and their staffs to the 2013 Atlanta Falcons Coaches Clinic on Friday, June 14. Coaches will be granted exclusive access to watch an OTA private practice from the sidelines at the Atlanta Falcons Training Facility in Flowery Branch.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The coaches will be able to observe specialized sessions with members of the Atlanta Falcons coaching staff and other guest coaches until 4:30 p.m.

Coaches must R.S.V.P. by Wednesday, May 22 to 404-367-2243 or to Liz Reynolds at lreynolds@falcons.nfl.com. For more information, click here.

The Falcons give back so much to the community through Read with a Falcon, First Down for Fitness, the FalCan Food Drive, Community Quarterback Award, Youth Weekends and many other programs, but the organization has also done much for Georgia High School Association football. The team unveiled a GHSA Football Helmet Display in the Georgia Dome several years ago featuring football helmets gathered from programs across the state. The team also holds a coaches’ luncheon over GHSA championship weekend at the Georgia Dome where coaches of the year are recognized.
