Football to face Etowah this Friday

The Indians opened their football season two weeks ago with an unfortunate loss to Grayson. The game was close, however, but McEachern eventually fell, 31-21. The Indians did not play last week and will begin region play on Friday by traveling to Woodstock to play the Etowah Eagles. The Eagles opened up their season the same time two weeks ago with a win over Starr’s Mill.  Both teams should be well rested for the upcoming matchup. …  The volleyball team has yet to squeak out a win so far this season. They opened up with a loss to Providence Christian and, in their most recent match, they fell short against the Longhorns of Kell. The Lady Indians will look for their first win Thursday, Sept. 11, against the Cherokee Warriors. … The softball team is currently on a three-game losing streak after dropping two games against Walton and one against. Parkview. Their only wins so far this season came against Pope in a doubleheader earlier this year. Ironically, the softball team’s next game is also against the Warriors from Canton and takes place this Wednesday.
