Football wins two to stay unbeaten in region

The football team defeated Chattahoochee 28-13 on Oct. 10. Tyler Jarry had 105 total yards and two touchdowns. Robert Nelson returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. The Bulldogs defeated Northview 45-0 last Friday. Quarterback Mike Tamburo threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 86 yards and a score. Raahmil Brantley rushed for 129 yards and one touchdown. Jarry caught 10 passes for 105 yards. The team hosts North Forsyth this Friday. … The softball team defeated Duluth 4-0 but then lost to North Gwinnett by the same score on Oct. 9. Starting pitcher Alex McDavid struck out 10 against Duluth. The Lady Bulldogs lost to Parkview 4-0 in the first round of the North Sectionals last Friday. Their season ended on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Dacula. … The volleyball team lost to Parkview and GAC on Oct. 9. The girls rebounded last Thursday in the Area 7-AAAAA tournament by beating Peachtree Ridge and Mill Creek before losing to Norcross. Megan Carnell had 28 kills. … The boys cross country team finished sixth and the girls finished second in the Reebok Coach Wood Invitational last Saturday.
