Six soccer state championships are in the books, as Mercer’s Five Star Stadium and McEachern’s Cantrell Stadium each hosted games decided by penalty kicks on Friday. Westminster got a Class AAA sweep with a tight 1-0 boys win and a girls triumph in a shootout, and two Savannah private schools had dominant wins in Class AA. Lacrosse completed its quarterfinals, and 6A-7A favorites the Lambert boys and Milton girls moved on with convincing wins. Class A-Public completed its delayed quarterfinals round all in one night, as the four series all ended in sweeps.
