Buford 49, Bishop Timon (N.Y.) 6

How the game was won: Buford led 21-0 after one quarter and 35-6 at halftime, holding the visiting Bishop Timon to 99 total yards and just 15 in the second half.

Top performers: Anthony Grant scored four touchdowns for Buford, with three rushing scores from 69, 32 and 12 yards and one receiving score from 31 yards from Mic Roof. Grant finished with 173 yards rushing on 11 carries. Derrian Brown scored the night’s first touchdown from five yards out, finishing with 79 yards rushing on nine carries. TD Roof scored on a two-yard run, and Lunden Bailey recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown.

North Gwinnett 42, Hillgrove 24

 How the game was won: North Gwinnett took a commanding 28-3 lead into the half and held off Hillgrove after a scoreless third quarter with a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns.

Top Performers: Cade Fortin threw a touchdown pass to LJ Fisher to make it a 7-7 game after the first quarter. Justin Lewis and Ryan Lovelace ran in North Gwinnett touchdowns. Jimmy Urzua threw a touchdown pass to Dan Tamburo that gave the Bulldogs their 28-3 lead.

South Gwinnett 14, Brookwood 7

How the game was won: In a defensive battle, South Gwinnett took a 7-0 lead with5:58 left in the half as Myles Barnum zigged and zagged his way in for a 28-yard touchdown. South Gwinnett tried for a fake field goal before the half, but it was tipped out of play to preserve a one-possession game. After 20-yard touchdown reception by South Gwinnett’s Terrell Smith to open the fourth quarter, Brookwood quarterback Angelo Dispigna threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Nick Prince to cut the lead to 14-7 with 4:30 left.

Top Performers: Myles Barnum and Terrell Smith were the two lone scorers for South Gwinnett.

Commerce 49, Hebron Christian 15

How the game was won: Behind 286 yards of offense and three defensive scores, the Tigers romped Hebron Christian.

Top Performers: Cole Chancey ripped off a 73-yard touchdown run and returned an interception 46 yards for a score. Austin Brock notched a pick-six as well, going 48 yards to pay dirt. Kyre Ware took a punt back 59 yards. Lane Sorrow and Matthew Flint recorded touchdowns in the rout.

Lambert 26, Collins Hill 16:

How the game was won: Parker Reynolds scored a safety as he registered his second sack of the night with 5:14 left to give Lambert a 26-10 lead. Collins Hill answered the 2-point boost with a Jon Michael Findlay touchdown pass to cut it 26-16, but the 2-point conversion that could have brought the score within one possession failed with 52 seconds left. Lambert overcame a 10-3 deficit at the when Marcus Chatelain tied it up with a 6-yard touchdown run. Ken Dicks forced a Collins Hill fumble later in the third quarter and the Longhorns capitalized with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Richie Kenney to Tyler Gillis to build a 17-10 lead.

Top Performers: Drew Dinsmore hit Braxton Curry for a 28-yard touchdown on 4th and 7 for Collins Hill’s first score. Marcus Chatelain gave Lambert a 24-10 lead with a touchdown run with 11:47 left in the game.
