MACK ATTACK: M.L. King running back names Florida as leader

M.L. King junior running back Mack Brown visited the University of Florida last week for the school’s Junior Day. Brown was apparently impressed with what Urban Meyer and the Gators have to offer, so much so as to name Florida his leader heading into the 2010 recruiting cycle.

“Florida is my top school right now,” Brown recently told Gatorbait.net. “After I finished that visit, they’re leading right now. They’re No. 1. The whole coaching staff is really nice. I like Urban Meyer a lot. I talked to him the whole time down there.”

On the field, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete is absolutely explosive; he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds at the Under Armour Combine last month. Last season, Brown rushed for 1,700 yards to go along with 21 touchdowns.

Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, West Virginia, Arkansas and Georgia are also currently in contention for Brown’s services.
