Osborne to host combine

Rising seniors looking make a name for themselves in the recruiting world should consider heading out to Osborne this Saturday for the inaugural David L. Scott Coalition Bowl Senior All-Star Game Combine. Football players will be given an opportunity to showcase their skills in position-specific drills, as well as the 40-yard dash, the 5-10-5 shuttle and the three-cone drill. Players will also compete in one-on-one and 7 on 7 sessions. Rising seniors will also be competing for spots in the upcoming Georgia Senior High School All-Star Game Dec. 22, the only high school all-star game that is played in the Georgia Dome. Evaluators will be placing Class of 2013 prospects on a “Watch List” for the game, and the list will be reviewed over the course of the year.

 

Some of the participants from last year’s game include Chaz Elder, Larry Jefferson, Jonathan Jones, Davion Tookes, Chris Moody, Kenno Loyal and Keithon Redding, all of whom signed with BCS schools last February. The combine is free and will be held at Osborne High School in Marietta this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
