Warriors lose to E. Paulding, get road region win at McEachern

The football team suffered a narrow 31-26 loss against undefeated East Paulding on Oct 10. Four fumbles by the Warriors set up their opponents in excellent field position on nearly every occasion. Rico Mack sparked the team with two touchdowns, one on a reception and another on a 96-yard kickoff return. In its next matchup, the team was able to come back on McEachern to win 21-14. Mack scored the game-winning touchdown with just under four minutes left. Donatello Brown rushed for 145 yards in the game to lead the running attack. The team will play Marietta at home this Friday. … The volleyball team ended its season on a disappointing note by dropping its final two matches to Marietta in the Area 5-AAAAA tournament. The softball team also was unsuccessful in the playoffs, losing a tough 1-0 game to Kell in eight innings. The girls cross country team was paced by Erin McAnnally, who came in seventh overall with a time of 21:31.30 at the Great American XC Festival on Oct 11. The boys team was led by Alec Clifford at the Furman Invitational, as he came in eighth place.
