In Class 7A, Walton shook up the poll by defeating Wheeler (75-63) for the first time since the 2013 season and moving up to No. 4. Berkmar moved down to No. 8 after falling 68-51 to Peachtree Ridge and Buford moved up to No. 7 after a 59-47 win over No. 10 Dacula. In Class 6A, St. Pius moved up a spot to No. 3 and Jonesboro climbed from No. 10 to No. 6 after its 75-73 win over Woodward Academy. Dutchtown switched spots with Tri-Cities for No. 3 in Class 5A and Chapel Hill moved up to No. 5. Additionally, Winder-Barrow returned to the poll at No. 7 and Greater Atlanta Christian rose to No. 9 after Mays exited the poll following its lopsided loss to Maynard Jackson.
In Class 4A, McDonough took over No. 1 after topping previously No. 1 ranked Pace Academy 63-59 on the road. The two teams will square off again this Friday with the Warhawks sitting at No. 1 this time and host Pace Academy coming in at No. 2. North Oconee moved up to No. 3 after scoring an emphatic 86-54 win over Seckinger.
