In Class 7A, No. 1 ranked Grayson continued its tear through the season with an 81-41 win over Brookwood and a 68-51 win over North Broward Prep (FL) in the Grayson New Year’s Classic to improve to 14-1. No. 2 McEachern topped Class 6A No. 1 Alexander 58-46 and Wheeler scored a solid 64-59 win over Hughes over the break. Dacula fell to No. 8 after a narrow 48-46 loss to Collins Hill and Walton slid to No. 9 ahead of 10-3 Carrollton at No. 10. In Class 6A, Lakeside-Evans replaced Glynn Academy and debuts at No. 10. In Class 5A, Tucker surged to No. 4.
In Class 4A, Holy Innocents’ moved up to No. 2 and remains undefeated within the classification this season and Burke County (12-2) replaced Central-Carroll and debuts at No. 10. Cedar Grove replaced Douglass at No. 2 in Class 3A and Liberty County debuts at No. 10 after a 7-3 start and 65-55 win over Class 5A previously-ranked Bradwell Institute. South Atlanta replaced Walker at No. 9 after scoring a 70-58 win over the Wolverines. Finally, Greenforest Christian moved up to No. 1 in Class A Division II and Christian Heritage moved up to No. 2 after Portal slid to No. 3.
