2012 Georgia football schedule finalized

The 2012 University of Georgia football schedule was finalized on Wednesday, and the Bulldogs slate for the upcoming season will find the team teeing it up between the hedges seven times. Georgia will once again play play eight SEC games with four road games, three home games and one “home” game against Florida at a neutral site in Jacksonville. The Dawgs will open up the season against Buffalo at home on September 1, then hit the road to visit new SEC East foe Missouri September 8.

Georgia will return for three straight home games against Florida Atlantic, Vanderbilt and Tennessee before heading to South Carolina on October 6. An open date follows the trip to Columbia, then Georgia heads to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats. The Florida game will fall on the last Saturday in October.

November finds the Dawgs hosting Ole Miss on November 3, followed by a trip to Auburn to face the Tigers. Two in-state opponents wrap up the regular season as Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech both visit Sanford Stadium.

This will be the first time since 2007 that Georgia will play seven home games in Athens.
