Bulldogs enjoy bye week, prepare for Banneker

The football team enjoyed the week off this past Friday after winning its first game of the season. This week, the Bulldogs host Banneker in what should be a very tough game for Tri-Cities. Last week, the Trojans rolled up 50 on Douglas County a week after the defense threw a shutout against Northgate. The Bulldogs have fared well during their first season in Region 3-AAAA. Last year, it took until the final week of the season for the team’s first win, while this year the team has already matched last year’s win total after only three games. … It was tough sledding for the volleyball team, as the Lady Bulldogs continued region play last week. After losing the opening day’s match against Sandy Creek while scoring a total of 13 points, the team responded by playing a tough match against Fayette County before losing again in two games. This week, the Lady Bulldogs will travel to Lithonia on Thursday before hosting Mays and Starr’s Mill on Tuesday. … The softball team hosts Douglas County on Thursday.
