For the second week in a row, the football team was on the negative end of a 42-point effort, falling hard last Friday to Harrison 42-14. South Cobb has yet to win a game since its grueling season opener against Campbell. With the most recent South Cobb loss, Harrison remains undefeated and at the top of the region. The team will have a chance to score its first region win this season on Friday when it hosts the McEachern Indians. … The softball team went 2-1 last week, dropping a game to East Paulding 7-1, then crushing Campbell 11-1 and nicking Marietta 8-6. At 7-9, the team is slowly moving closer to a winning record this season. On Thursday the Lady Eagles play host to the North Cobb Warriors, who are currently on a three-game losing streak. … The volleyball team will be in search for its first win of the season on Thursday at the Cobb County Tourney. The team will face Campbell in the first match.
