Colquitt County remains the lone undefeated team in Class AAAAAA after Archer toppled Dacula 24-10 on Friday. The lost dropped Dacula two spots to No. 4. Grayson returned to No. 2 with a 38-3 win over Brookwood to improve to 8-1 overall. In Class AAAAA, no teams lost and the polls remain the same. Class AAAA saw movement with Woodward Academy’s 31-28 loss to unranked Whitewater. The loss dropped Woodward Academy to No. 4. Mary Persons profited most from the War Eagles’ loss and jumped two spots to No. 3. Thomas County Central fell to Worth County on Friday and was replaced by 8-1 Pickens at No. 10.

Class AAA has remained intact for most of this season but Adairsville finally found room in the poll and debuts at No. 10. Adairsville replaces Westside-Macon, which fell 49-16 to No. 4 Peach County. In Class AA, Lovett fell 14-7 to No. 1 GAC but remains at No. 3. Thomasville lost to Brooks County 28-18 and dropped to No.  9. Dublin knocked Screven County out of the rankings with a 27-7 win on Friday and Macon County replaced the Gamecocks at No. 10.

Class A-Private did not see any shifts and the only movement in Class A-Public came from Dooly County. Claxton and Clinch County both lost and Dooly County jumped the two teams to No. 8.

Cartersville is ranked #3 by most other polls. AJC and GSWA.
No respect for the canes in baseball and now no respect in football.

Thomasville Central asked to step down from 4A to 3A this year and missed the playoffs for the first time in 25 years. Maybe they should see if they can take it one step further and move down to 2A next year.:)
