Football team recovers with win over Campbell

After suffering its first loss of the season against Kell, the football team looked to bounce back against Campbell on Friday. The game was a tight one, but the Trojans were able to come away with a 24-17 victory. Once again, the Trojans had plenty of success in the air with 265 yards passing. Quarterback Hutson Mason had three touchdown passes to go with those yards. Tight end Phillip Lutzenkirchen had another solid game with 113 receiving yards and one touchdown. The Trojans will go for their fourth win on Friday when they take on Wheeler. … The volleyball team is having a great season thus far despite falling to Westminster (2-0) and McIntosh (2-1) on Thursday. The losses were the team’s first losses of the season. The No. 49 team in the nation will take part in the Cobb County Tournament on Thursday. … The softball team dominated Wheeler last Thursday, 11-2. Brandi Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. The Lady Trojans will face Walton on Thursday before hosting the Lassiter Invitational on Saturday.
