U-Save-It Classic:
Lee County advanced to 5-3 and dropped Terrell County to 5-4 with a 64-35 victory in the opening round of the U-Save-It Christmas Classic held at Albany High School. Leading scorer Jalin Wimberly entered averaging 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Trojans. He produced near that same clip and scored a team-high 14 for Lee County. DeTravion Bishop scored 12 points in the loss for Terrell. The win marks the Trojans’ third against the Green Wave already this year. Early in the season Lee County scored wins of 62-37 and 72-49 over Terrell. Elsewhere in the tournament, Dougherty defeated former 3A top ten team Cedar Grove 58-53. Class AAAA’s No. 10 Monroe was blown away by South Cobb, 72-55.

St. Anne Christmas Showcase:
Tre Sudberry of No. 10 St. Anne-Pacelli went off for 35 points, five assists, three steals and four rebounds to knock off No. 6 Landmark Christian 83-64 and remain in the top ten. Triston Wells added 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. Armon Prophet nearly notched a triple-double with 14 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds.
