Inaugural ‘Georgia Prep Sports from a Distance’ podcast broadcast live from Score Atlanta

The inaugural video podcast “Georgia Prep Sports from a Distance” will air today from the offices of Score Atlanta in Roswell. The show is being hosted by former Atlanta Journal-Constitution sports writer and Score Atlanta president I.J. Rosenberg. PlayOn Sports, which runs the National Federation High School network, is providing all the technology for the show as well as putting it on the network portal.

Guests on the first show will include Dr. Robin Hines, the Executive Director of the Georgia High School Association. Dr. Hines took over control of the GHSA in June of 2017 and had to make some very tough decisions lately including canceling spring sports because of the Coronavirus. Also joining the show is Rusty Mansell of 247Sports. Mansell, one of the top recruiting experts in the country, will discuss the loss of spring football and possible summer workouts and how it could impact the recruiting cycle for the upcoming season.

Finally, West Forsyth Athletic Director Brett Phipps will join the show to give his take on how a program is weathering the loss of spring sports, graduation and everything in between. The show will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon-1p.m. All shows will be available On-Demand.
