The next three days will reveal quite a bit as lacrosse enters the back stretch of the regular season. The defending Class AAAAAA boys state champion Centennial Knights square off with Milton on Thursday in a top 4 matchup. Centennial is coming off its first loss of the season (11-10 to Westminster) and will have to get back on track quick because its next game will be against 10-0 Harrison on Saturday. The 10-0 start is the best in program history and a Hoyas win over Centennial would move Harrison to No. 1 in the poll for the first time. Walton and Etowah is a great region matchup slated for Friday with two top 10 teams.

On the girls side, undefeated Kell faces two difficult out of state opponents. The 7-0 Longhorns get 6-0 Charlotte Catholic (N.C.) on Friday and 6-0 Ravenwood (Tenn.) on Saturday. Eight of the Longhorns final 11 games are against teams with winning records, including Lassiter, Blessed Trinity, Westminster, Northview and Etowah. In Class AAAAAA, Roswell has a chance to get back on track Thursday against Etowah. The Hornets have dropped four-straight games against some of the top programs in the state. Milton started the losing skid with a 19-4 route, but losses to Chattahoochee, Harrison and Westminster were decided by a combined five goals.
