In Class AAAAAA, Mountain View fell to No. 6 after a 55-38 loss to Norcross. The Blue Devils followed the win over Mountain View with a 56-24 victory over Meadowcreek and jumped three spots to No. 4. South Forsyth (19-3) debuts at No. 8 after a 55-47 win over North Forsyth last Tuesday.
In Class AAAAA, Forest Park fell two spots to No. 6 after a 45-32 loss to No. 7 Drew and the win moved Drew up to No. 4 in this week’s poll. Creekview (16-5) replaces Sequoyah in the poll after posting a 40-33 road win over the No. 9 Chiefs on Tuesday.
In Class AAAA unbeaten Redan (21-0) remains No. 1, but Columbus (19-1) jumped two spots and takes over No. 2 after cruising past Randolph-Clay (69-52), Sandy Creek (55-51), Carrollton (40-28) and LaGrange (70-44) last week. Richmond Academy beat Cross Creek 44-40 on Saturday and dropped the Razorbacks to No. 4 in this week’s poll.
St. Pius X jumped Buford for the No. 2 slot in Class AAA this week and are one of the hottest teams in the state at 18-3. Decatur (15-5) replaced North Oconee for No. 10.
In Class AA, No. 8 Putnam County topped No. 7 Bleckley County 62-52 last Tuesday and sent the Royals out of this week’s poll. Vidalia reenters the poll at No. 10 with a 16-5 overall record. In Class A, no teams lost this past week and the rankings remain the same.
