Rams enjoy off-week before regular season finale at C. Gwinnett

The football team got a nice win entering the team’s bye week, handling Meadowcreek 46-0 on Oct. 24. The win officially clinched the Region 8-AAAAA crown for Grayson, the team’s second in nine years but first at the 5A level. Quarterback Tyler Horne rushed for a 2-yard score early, and James Earl Jones and Stuart Shaw each recorded a score in the shutout win. Junior fullback Terry Williams played perhaps his best game of the year, as he recorded two touchdowns, a two-point conversion and an interception on defense. The team had last week off, and will hit the road this Friday to face the Central Gwinnett Black Knights and try to notch a perfect regular-season record. …The girls basketball team might be running a bunch this year with track star Taren White on the team. New coach Molly Tideback has one of the fastest players in the state in White, returning just one year after setting the school record for points in a season. White, now a junior, scored 364 points last season, including a school record 32 in a game against Meadowcreek.
