RECRUITING TRAIL: Tony Parker to visit five schools

Miller Grove forward Tony Parker will visit five schools, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Parker will trip to Duke, Georgetown, Memphis, Ohio State and UCLA.

According to Michael Carvell of the AJC, Lassiter’s Kenny Orjioke was offered Monday by Georgia Tech, which joins Ole Miss in the sweepstakes for the senior safety from Marietta. Orjioke moved to Georgia in the offseason from California.  According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, two Parkview baseball players committed to Georgia last week and neither one is a senior.

Junior catcher Jarrett Freeland and sophomore pitcher Mac Marshall pledged to play their college ball in Athens becoming the second and third Panthers to commit to their college of choice prior to their senior season. Junior centerfielder Josh Hart committed to Georgia Tech earlier this summer. The trio joins seniors Matt Olson (Vanderbilt) and Jake Esmonde (Georgia), who have also accepted college scholarships, to make Parkview one of the most talented baseball teams in state history.

Also at Parkview, senior forward Erika Joseph committed to Western Carolina on Tuesday. Joseph averaged 10.7 points and 7.1 rebounds last season.
