Titans comeback falls short; softball on four-game win streak

During the football team’s opening drive of Friday night’s game against Collins Hill, the Titans looked well on their way to their first win of the season. Rashad Conner broke a 28-yard run on the team’s first possession, but Northview was eventually forced to punt. Collins Hill responded with a touchdown and went on to lead 17-0 at halftime. Conner and running back Samoir Patrick carried the ball 30 times combined on the night and set up all 10 of Northview’s points. In the end, it wasn’t enough as Collins Hill won 17-10. … The volleyball team hasn’t lost a game since the loss to Brentwood Academy on Aug. 23. That powerful play continued last week, as the Lady Titans swept matches against Brookwood and North Cobb on Thursday night. The team allowed more than 15 points only once, which came during its final game of the evening against North Cobb. This week, Northview will get a stiff taste of competition, as the Lady Titans travel to Tampa for the Premier Tournament. … The softball team has won four games in a row. They will host Chattahoochee on Senior Night this Thursday.
