1. Booker T. Washington, FL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 1) Washington scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to rally past No. 5 Miami Central 27-19. Tornadoes quarterback Treon Harris finished 12 of 17 passing for 129 yards and two touchdowns, including a 59-yard score to Deltron Hopkins in the third quarter. Miami-commit Chad Thomas leads the Tornadoes defensively. In the season-opener, visiting Washington thrashed preseason No. 1 Norcross 55-0. Harris orchestrated the offense to near perfection against the Blue Devils, as the FSU commit finished 23 of 28 passing for 287 yards and five touchdowns. | THIS WEEK: Carol City 9/11

 

2. Karr, LA (1-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 2) Backup quarterback Kerry Taylor threw two touchdowns in the first quarter of Karr’s 34-12 win over St. Paul (LA). Speedy Noil took over the starting duties in the second quarter and found Jeriah Tolbert for a 53-yard touchdown. Gerald Willis, Donnie Alexander, Joyan Williams, Juwan Offray, Jaevon Walton and Bryan Anderson all return as defensive starters and college-bound prospects. | THIS WEEK: At St. Augustine 9/13

 

3. St. Thomas Aquinas, FL (1-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 3) Pittsburgh-commit Wade Freeman gets the nod at quarterback, and South Carolina-commit Al Harris Jr. leads the secondary. Devante Peete is a 6-foot-5 junior receiver who is listed as a four-star prospect. In the Raiders’ season-opener, linebacker Jake Stewart returned a fumble 54 yards for a touchdown in a 38-3 win over Northwestern (FL). | THIS WEEK: No. 4 Curtis (LA) (Super Dome in New Orleans) 9/13

 

4. Curtis, LA (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 4) Curtis raced to a 24-7 lead at halftime and went on to beat Bergen Catholic 24-13 on Friday. George Moreira rushed for two scores. Malachi Dupre is one of the most gifted wide receivers in the southeast. Kenny Young, Terrance Alexander and Mattrell McGraw lead the defense for the defending Class 2A state champions and national champions. In the Covington Jamboree, the Patriots rolled to a 27-0 halftime lead and easily defeated Salmen 40-6. 5. Miami Central, FL (1-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 5) Central fell 27-19 to No. 1 Washington on Friday. Joe Yearby finished with 128 yards rushing on 21 carries and an 11-yard touchdown, and Dalvin Cook finished with 59 yards on 11 carries and a 30-yard touchdown. A five-star running back and Florida commitment, Cook paced Miami Central to an impressive 44-13 Week 1 win over Dwyer. Junior wide receiver Da’Vante Phillips is committed to Florida and is off to a fast start to the season. | THIS WEEK: Coral Reef 9/12

 

6. North Gwinnett, GA (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 6) Senior quarterback Hayden Sphire and explosive receivers Nate Brown, Caleb Scott, Daniel Imatorbhebhe, Almonzo Brown and Jaye Stackhouse torched Camden County 34-14 in their Week 1 win and cruised to a 35-0 win over 2011 Georgia state champion Grayson Rams Week 2. Defensively, the Bulldogs forced Grayson into two safeties and are lead by top 10 Georgia recruit and defensive end Dante Sawyer. | THIS WEEK: At No. 19 Norcross

 

7. Northwestern, SC (3-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 7) Northwestern blew out South Aiken 65-7 on Friday. Mason Rudolph, an Oklahoma State commit, threw three touchdown passes to Dupree Hart in the second quarter. Northwestern topped Gaffney (SC) 51-19 in the season opener and rolled past Charlotte Catholic 38-17 Week 2. Wideout Quadarius Fair has caught six touchdowns in the Trojans’ three games. | THIS WEEK: No. 12 Byrnes 9/13

 

8. Ensworth, TN (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 8) Vanderbilt commit Michael Sawyers and Xavier Forrest are a pair of 300-pound tackles that dominate the line of scrimmage. The physicality extends to the backfield with 6-foot-1, 220-pound runner D’Andre Ferby. Ensworth opened the season with a big 27-26 win over powerhouse Trinity (KY) and raced to a 55-13 over Brainerd in Week 2. The Tigers scored 34 points in the second quarter and 48 in the opening half. | THIS WEEK: Pope John Paul II, (TN) 9/13

 

9. Hoover, AL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 9) Hoover shut out Hueytown in a 35-0 rout on Friday. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Alabama and leads the defense. In Week 2, Hoover rallied and scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to grab the 24-10 win over visiting Colquitt County. | THIS WEEK: At Jackson-Olin 9/13

 

10. Manatee, FL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 10) Manatee came off a short week from a 44-14 win over Gilman (MD) and beat rival Venice (FL) 35-14 on Friday. Ben Chisolm returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown in the opening quarter. The 2012 state finalists return four-star defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas, who is committed to FSU, and offensive tackle Jake Stickler, who is committed to Georgia Tech. | THIS WEEK: Friendship Collegiate Academy 9/13

 

11. University, FL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 12) Four-star running back Jordan Scarlett rushed for two touchdowns, and quarterback Sean White connected twice with Sam Bruce for scores in University’s 47-12 win over Norland (FL). White is an Auburn commit that returns after leading University to a perfect 2012 season. Duke commit Chris Taylor is one of White’s best exterior targets. University posted a 41-21 win over Homestead in the ESPN Kickoff Classic and a 54-14 rout of Taravella (FL) in its opener. | THIS WEEK: At Cypress Bay 9/12

 

12. Byrnes, SC (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 14) Byrnes topped Woodruff (SC) 82-49 on Friday. At halftime Byrnes held a 55-28 lead and quarterback Shuler Bentley had already tossed five touchdowns and racked up 298 yards passing. In the second half, the record-breaking performance continued, and Bentley threw his ninth score of the game. Bentley added a rushing touchdown in the game as well and finished with a school record 530 yards passing. Byrnes topped Apopka 51-36 in a Week 1 ESPN matchup. | THIS WEEK: At No. 7 Northwestern 9/13

 

13. Sandy Creek, GA (1-0-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 11) Quarterback Cole Garvin threw touchdown passes to Demarre Kitt and Cory Banks in Sandy Creek’s 55-28 win over Newnan. Eric Sweeney ran for three touchdowns and Delvin Weems added two more rushing scores. Ole Miss commit Chris Williams stars at defensive tackle. In its season opener, Sandy Creek tied 27-27 with Plant (FL). | THIS WEEK: At East Coweta (GA) 9/13

 

14. Auburn, AL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 15) Auburn posted another blowout, beating Jefferson Davis (AL) 45-18 on Friday. Rashaan Evans is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound four-star linebacker and is joined by fellow outside linebacker Darian Yancey, who is committed to Southern Miss. Auburn dismantled Valley (AL) 65-0 in its season opener. UCLA commit Antreal Allen leads the secondary and Blaise Taylor sparks the offense. | THIS WEEK: At Smiths Station (AL) 9/13

 

15. McEachern, GA (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 16) McEachern’s prolific rushing attack was in full effect in the Indians’ 31-10 victory over Georgia’s 2010 state champion Brookwood in Week 1 and again in Week 2, as the Indians topped Lassiter 48-28. McEachern has rolled up 743 rushing yards behind running back Taj Griffin and quarterback Ty Clemons. | THIS WEEK: Pebblebrook, (GA) 9/13

 

16. Godby, FL (1-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 17) Godby beat Chiles (FL) 64-14 on Friday just four days after its 26-9 loss to DeMatha (MD) on Labor Day. The DeMatha Stags were the No. 6-ranked team in the country according to MaxPreps. Jacob Pugh leads the defense and the FSU commit stands 6-foot-4, 221 pounds. Louisville commit De-Eric Culver remains the starting corner and safety Deion Singleton wraps up a talented defensive unit. | THIS WEEK: East Gadsden (FL) 9/12

 

17. Buford, GA (2-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 21) Class 3A Buford rolled past last year’s 5A state champion and former No. 22 Gainesville 38-14 on Friday. The Wolves racked up more than 400 yards of offense, 344 coming on the ground. Six different players scored touchdowns in Buford’s 41-0 win over Elbert County in the season opener including: Josh Thomas, Donte’ Gordon, Thomas Wilson, Isaac Notta, Steven Reece and Evan Cooper. Clemson commit and linebacker Korie Rogers leads the defense. | THIS WEEK: Hancock Central 9/13

 

18. South Panola, MS (3-0) | LAST WEEK (23) South Panola topped Meridian (MS) 34-14 on Friday. Through the first three quarters, Darrell Henderson gained 253 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Tigers. South Panola posted a 42-27 win over White Station (TN) in its opener and a notable 55-3 win over West Point (MS) in Week 2. Sophomore running back Oluwain Hoskins has already made an impact this season. | THIS WEEK: At North Little Rock (AR) 9/13

 

19. Colquitt County, GA (2-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 18) Colquitt County topped last year’s Georgia runner-up Lovejoy 17-13 on Friday. Javonta Woods caught a 29-yard pass from Daniel Mobley and Sihiem King raced 64 yards for a score. Nine defensive starters return from the 2012 quarterfinals team including Jamiyus Pittman, Mike Parrish, Brandon Key and Tim Sanders. The stout defense held Georgia’s 2011 state champion Grayson to just six points in Colquitt County’s 21-6 Week 1 victory, but could not slow down No. 9 Hoover in the second half in Week 2 and fell 24-10. | THIS WEEK: Carver-Columbus 9/13

 

20. Norcross, GA (1-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 19) Running back Josh Boyd scored on touchdown runs of 13 and 34 yards to help Norcross top Parkview 21-7. Norcross dropped 18 slots after getting dismantled by No. 1 Booker T. Washington 55-0 on ESPN in Week 1. The Blue Devils returned 20 starters from their 2012 championship team and hold several nationally recognized prospects, including 5-star defensive end Lorenzo Carter | THIS WEEK: North Gwinnett 9/13

 

21. Whitehaven, TN (3-0) | LAST WEEK (No. 24) Ramadi Warren finished with three second-half touchdowns that propelled visiting Whitehaven to a 27-19 victory over White Station (TN). Seniors Brandon Adams, Lewis Washington, Jeffrey Malone and Rashad Brown all have the capability of starting on either side of the line of scrimmage for the defending state champs. Whitehaven won a tight contest with Mitchell (TN) 20-16 in its season opener, but dominated in a 63-8 Week 2 win over Fairley (TN). | THIS WEEK: Memphis Central 9/13

 

22. Maryville, TN (3-0) | LAST WEEK (N/R) John Garrett ran for two touchdowns and completed 9-of-14 passes for 146 yards in Maryville’s 42-20 win over Knoxville West (TN). Sean Prevo scored a rushing touchdown and John Garrett ran in a pair of touchdowns in the win. Maryville topped Webb (TN) 35-15 in its season opener, and rolled past Alcoa (TN) 31-2 in Week 2. | THIS WEEK: BYE, then Hardin Valley Academy (TN) 9/20

 

23. Opelika, AL (2-0) | LAST WEEK (N/R) Opelika scored on its first five possessions to take a 31-0 lead in the first quarter before coasting to a 34-14 win over Lee (AL). Matthew Christian threw a 59 and 17-yard touchdown pass to Marquise Fulton. The Bulldogs topped Russell (AL) 21-7 in their season opener. Stephen Roberts is a four-star cornerback committed to Alabama. |THIS WEEK: At Central (Phenix City, AL) 9/13

 

24. Apopka, FL (2-1) | LAST WEEK (No. 24) The explosive Blue Darters had 590 yards of offense and got three touchdowns from J.J. Simmons and two from Robert Thomas in their 53-0 win over Lake Brantley. Apopka scored three of its touchdowns on one-play drives. The defending Class 8A state champs posted a 57-32 win over Oak Ridge in Week 2, and fell to No. 12 Byrnes (SC) 51-36 in the season opener. Martez Ivey is a junior offensive tackle that is listed as the top Florida recruit for the Class of 2015. | THIS WEEK: Wekiva, (FL) 9/13

 

25. Tucker, GA (2-0) | LAST WEEK (N/R) Three-star safety Dominick Sanders has returned a punt for a touchdown in both of the Tigers’ wins. Tucker topped North Atlanta 75-0 on Friday, and posted a 51-12 victory over Cedar Grove in the opener. 6-foot-5 and 295-pound tackle Elisha Shaw heads the defense with linebackers Detric Dukes (UGA commit) and Kirk Tucker (Stanford commit) anchoring the middle. | THIS WEEK: At Arabia Mountain 9/13
