Basketball scores from Friday

The Greater Atlanta Christian girls, ranked No. 4 in Class AAA, moved to 8-2 in Region 7-AAA after a 48-41 victory over Cherokee Bluff on the road on Friday.

Sophomore guard Kaleigh Addie, who is averaging 19 points per game on the season, finished with 22 points and eight steals to lead the Spartans. Senior Ava Irvin scored nine points with six steals. Junior Laurren Randolph scored six points and made eight rebounds. Sophomore Jaci Bolden finished with six points.

In the state’s highest classification, Brookwood’s girls moved to 12-11 on the season and 8-2 in 7-AAAAAAA after a 66-28 victory over Central Gwinnett. Freshman Diana Collins led with 20 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, seven steals and a block. Senior Selma Kulo scored 19 points with 10 rebounds and five blocks. Freshman Ciera Hall scored 11 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. Senior Sarah Manley scored seven points and had nine rebounds.

The Johnson-Savannah boys, ranked No. 5 in Class AAA, moved to 13-1 in 3-AAA after a 104-58 victory over Groves. Derek Edward Jr. scored 37 points with five assists, five rebounds and four steals. Emondre Bowles finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. Larry Pounds scored 15 points, four assists and three rebounds. Tony Baker scored 10 points with three rebounds.
