Centennial leads a tough Region 6-AAAAAA with an 11-0 record. … No. 4 East Coweta beat Marist 4-0 Friday as the Indians rebounded from a tie with Southeast Whitfield Tuesday, the team’s lone blemish on its otherwise spotless 13-0-1 record. … West Forsyth upset No. 4 Lambert 3-2 Friday for the Longhorns’ third loss in their last four games. Lambert is now 9-3 in Region 6 while West crept to within two games of second place at 7-5. … No. 5 Brookwood tied Islands 3-3 Friday. Tyler Lee scored twice and Dillon Yow found the back of the net once for Islands, while Brahan Gamarra scored twice and Jordan Locke added a third for the Broncos. Brookwood then tied Class AAAAA No. 2 Glynn Academy 1-1 Saturday. The draw ended Glynn Academy’s 15-game winning streak. … In girls soccer, No. 5 Harrison edged No. 2 Parkview 3-1 in penalty kicks for a 2-1 overall victory Saturday. Emma Carlson scored the lone goal for Parkview. The loss broke an 11-game winning streak by the Panthers while Harrison extended its victory streak to 11. … No. 5 Starr’s Mill beat Class AAA No. 8 Woodward Academy 3-0 Friday to extended its seven-game win streak. Woodward has now been shut out in four of five games. … Class AAA No. 1 Blessed Trinity beat Class A No. 7 Holy Innocents’ 2-0 Friday to rebound from the Titans’ Tuesday loss to St. Pius X, its first of the season. It was the third loss in five games for Holy Innocents’. … In track and field, Valdosta won the girls meet at the Westover Invitational with 109 points to second-place Westover’s 96.5. Westover’s boys, however, took first place with 104 points, besting runner-up Bainbridge’s 95 points. … The hosts won the boys meet in the Carrollton Invitational Saturday as the Trojans ran away from the field with 137 points. Second-place Sandy Creek had 73. East Coweta won the girls meet with 98 points to Carrollton’s 85. … In lacrosse, Chattahoochee beat West Forsyth 11-5 Saturday as junior Jack Cioffi had his seventh hat trick of the year and sophomore Daniel Wilson scored four times.
